Travelling Exhibit: Art of Migration

Join us at 6 pm, Tuesday, February 10th for an opening reception for the Art of Migration exhibit. This new touring exhibition is presented in partnership with the Columbia Basin Alliance for Literacy. Local artists have been paired with newcomers to create a piece of art in their chosen medium that depicts the unique challenges, triumphs, and realities of the migration process. This exciting exhibit will be on display at the Rossland Museum & Discovery Centre from February 10th to February 15th. Rekindle Holiday Workshop 2025

Rekindle is coming up! Don't forget to visit the Museum on Saturday, December 6th to join in the celebrations.

We're hosting a one-stop shop for kids to handcraft some of their holiday gifts this year, so drop by between 10 am and 4 pm to try our craft stations and gift-wrap solutions. With craft options and DIY decor geared for ages 4-12, there's something for everyone on the list!

We'll have snacks, hot chocolate, and a festive scavenger hunt! The Museum Shop is filled to the brim with gift options and stocking stuffers, including kids' games and hands-on science kits, prints and jewelry by local artists, our book section, and more. Stop by to enter the Rekindle draw!

Canada Day in Rossland - 2025

Canada Day is just around the corner! Join us at the Rossland Museum for our 2025 July 1st celebrations. We have an amazing line-up of crafts, activities, ceremony, community groups, cake, and live music from 11 am to 4 pm. Check out our games, crafts, and bouncy house fun, grab some food, and settle down to enjoy the show. The ceremony starts at noon, with a welcome by the Autonomous Sinixt, an address by the Mayor, singing of O Canada, and - of course - cake! Entry by donation.

National Historic Places Day 2024

The Museum will be open by donation all week, 10 am to 6 pm July 10-17. Haven't gone on one of our guided tours yet? Now's your chance! We offer guided historical tours of the outdoor exhibits at 11 am, 1 pm, and 3 pm daily through the summer - and on Fridays and Saturdays, the Gold Fever Follies will be on site to add some pizzaz to the 11 am tour. Recognizing k̓maʔrqn̓: Territory Sign Unveiling

These two long-time Rosslanders will take us on a fascinating and nostalgic journey through Rossland’s history, touching on the post-war period, the evolution of Cominco, the expansion of the skiing industry, evolving subcultures, and more! If you’re interested in Rossland’s history or you’re a long-time local looking to indulge in a little nostalgia (and maybe learn something new about your backyard!) then this is the event for you. Our March Speaker Series event is Thursday, March 28th at 6 pm - Entry is by donation and treats/refreshments will be provided.
