Speaker Series: Jim Spence - The Ski Patrollers

Ski Patrollers are the people you never want to have to call but you always want to have on call! Jim Spence has been on volunteer and paid ski patrol for decades. Come hear his stories about his experiences as a patroller, and learn some of the history of our local ski patrol!

Following Jim's presentation, we will be showing the film ""Fire on the Mountain: The Story of the 10th Mountain Division"" (1996, 50 mins). This documentary film is about the exploits of the 10th Mountain Division, an elite group of mountain soldiers who fought decisive battles against the Nazis in the Italian Alps during the final days of World War II, and the enduring legacy of some of the Division members on the sport of skiing.
