Thanks to Mike and Chris!
President Mike Sloan and Trustee Chris Bowman are both taking a break from the Board of Trustees for the 2025-26 year.
Mike has been a valued member of the Board since November 2017, and has held the President role since 2021. He has served as a champion for the Museum and a volunteer of countless hours across Museum projects and operations. He has been particularly involved in the Renewal Project, and we are tremendously grateful for his tireless work on this and every project.
Thankfully, Mike will continue volunteering to see the Renewal Project through Phase Two construction. And, we look forward to his return to the Board in future years!
Chris first became involved with the Museum as a City Councillor, in his role as Council Liaison - the program designed to facilitate communication between the City of Rossland and the various community groups.
After Chris’ time with the City, we were thrilled to have him join the Museum as a Board trustee in November 2022. As a trustee, Chris has continued to guide and support the Museum in innumerable ways. We’ve been so grateful for the time and value he has contributed! Thank you, Chris!
New Board
Justine Dodds, Eva Gifford, Michael Ramsey, and Jim Chapman were re-elected for another 2-year term, and we are delighted to welcome new trustee Patrick Hinds to the Board.
Sandra Meger, Carole Champion, Gabe Wiebe, and Fred Scaife continue their 2-year terms with the Board.
Treasurer Gabe Wiebe has been voted in as President, and Secretary Justine Dodds has taken on the role of Vice President. Patrick Hinds, previously a community member on our Finance Committee, has stepped into the role of Treasurer, and Sandra has stepped in as Secretary!
We’re looking forward to another fun and productive year!
