Join us for an exclusive sneak peek of our soon-to-be-launched Digital Museums Canada exhibit - Gold Mining to Gold Medals: A Century of Ski Racing in Rossland, showcasing the adrenaline-fueled adventures and enduring community spirit of our local skiers. We'll also be showing the short promotional video: Ski Red Mountain, Hill of Champions, featuring fantastic footage of our beloved hill from circa the late 1960s. Stick around to see Behind the Curtain, a film we developed this year in partnership with the Rossland Light Opera Players to celebrate their 70th anniversary season. ⛷️ Ski History Exhibit Sneak Peek: Be among the first to experience the adrenaline-pumping excitement of our Digital Museums Canada ski history exhibit - Gold Mining to Gold Medals: A Century of Ski Racing in Rossland. Journey through the snow-covered peaks and relive the daring adventures of our local skiers. Featuring newly digitized film footage, this preview promises an unforgettable taste of the slopes - and a piece of the story of ski racing in Rossland and on Red Mountain from the early days of Olaus Jeldness (1898) to 1989, when the Red Mountain Ski Club sold the ski area to a private investment group.
