Speaker Series: "The Last Mountain Caribou" Film Showing & Q&A

Even though we can’t get together in person, we can still watch movies together!

Join the Rossland Museum & Discovery Centre and local Rossland filmmaker Bryce Comer to watch Bryce’s award-winning film “The Last Mountain Caribou” (2017) followed by a Q&A with Bryce.

Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 6:30pm on Zoom

After some brief opening remarks, Bryce will introduce his film and then we’ll watch it together. Following the 45 minute film, we’ll have an open Q&A and discussion period with Bryce.

The film was a labour of love for Bryce, and he describes it as “one man’s quest to document the last remaining Caribou that venture south of the Canadian border into the US.”

Bryce Comer is a carpenter by trade and has a small shop here in Rossland. He loves to ski, bike, fish, and enjoys any time he gets in the outdoors. Bryce started making short nature films 20 years ago as a hobby. He would like to be able to show people through his films the amazing ecosystems in this region, as well as the issues that threaten them.

This program is free, but registration is required.

Donations are welcome.
