ArtiFACT or ArtiFICTION - New Outreach Exhibit at the Rossland Public Library

unleash your inner detective and test your knowledge of Rossland’s history in our new outreach exhibit:

artifact or artifiction!

ArtiFACT or ArtiFICTION is an artifact guessing game to test your knowledge of Rossland’s history. For each artifact we display, we’re asking you to use your knowledge of Rossland to decide if we are telling you the true history of the artifact or if we are spinning a web of artifiction. The artifacts featured throughout the display will cover Rossland’s social, political, and sporting history, with a few curveballs thrown in for good measure!

New artifacts will be displayed bi-weekly from May through early August. The previous artifact’s true history will be revealed when a new object is displayed. Artifacts and their histories will be added to this page as the summer progresses, so if you missed a reveal, check back here throughout the summer to find out the mysterious history of some of our favourite artifacts in the collection.

ArtiFACT or ArtiFICTION will be on location in the children’s section of the Rossland Public Library until early August!

Missed an artifact question and reveal? Can’t make it to the Rossland Public Library, but still want to play along at home? We got you covered! All of the questions and answers will be added to this gallery!

We wouldn’t be able to do our Outreach Exhibit program without the support of our amazing community partners like the Rossland Public Library!

The Library is open Tuesday-Thursday 10am-6pm and Friday-Saturday 10am-4pm.
