Canada Day in Rossland - 2025
Mark your calendars for another amazing celebration! We are once again hosting Rossland's July 1 celebrations at the Museum.
Tuesday, July 1st, 2025 ~ 11 am to 4 pm
Canada Day is just around the corner! Join us at the Rossland Museum for our 2025 July 1st celebrations. We have an amazing line-up of crafts, activities, ceremony, community groups, cake, and live music from 11 am to 4 pm. Check out our games, crafts, and bouncy house fun, grab some tacos, hot dogs, and a cold drink, and settle down to enjoy the show. The ceremony starts at noon, with a welcome by the Autonomous Sinixt, an address by the Mayor, singing of O Canada, and - of course - cake! Entry by donation.

VENDOR/VOLUNTEER CALL-OUT:
We're looking for volunteers to help out on the day of as well as community groups/local businesses to set up info booths and kiosks on the lawn. Get in touch with Fiona at admin@ rosslandmuseum.ca to sign up!

11:00 am: Performance by Michael Gifford
12 pm: Ceremony (Welcome to the tmxʷúlaʔxʷ by the Autonomous Sinxit, address from the City of Rossland, singing of “O Canada” and performance by the Gold Fever Follies)
1:00 pm: Performance by Golden City Fiddlers
2:00 pm: Performance by UCRA Mountain String Band
3:00 pm: Screening of the short film Take It To the Water + Sinixt colouring book session

NOTE: Parking for this event will be limited! Consider carpooling — or if you’re coming from Rossland, take advantage of the summer sunshine and walk or bike to the Museum!
