Night at the Museum - Student Showcase

Join us on Thursday, August 17th from 6 to 8 pm

for our annual summer staff showcase in our August Night at the Museum!

Come learn what our students have been working on this summer and get a behind-the-scenes look into our collections storage with our collections staff. Students will be highlighting their work with the Rossland Miner, our negatives digitization project, and the RMDC's various collections.

The museum will be open by donation, and we will have updates on our Renewal plans and our upcoming Digital Museums Canada exhibit, "Gold Mining to Gold Medals: A Century of Ski Racing on Red Mountain."

Other highlights:

  • Elena has been working diligently since the fall to help us digitize our negative collection! She will be highlighting some of her favourite images and talking about the digitization process.

  • Join Emma and Fraser on behind-the-scenes tours of our collections storage and archives while learning about some of the projects that they have been working on.

  • Isabella will be highlighting and showing off the Rossland Miner, one of her primary sources of information in our archive for doing research requests!

  • Our collections staff be around to talk about all the exhibit changes they have been making over the last few months.

    Entry is by donation!
