Check out what's happening this month at the Rossland Museum & Discovery Centre!

We are open daily throughout the summer 10am to 6pm.

Daily outdoor tours followed by gold panning at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm included in admission.

Special Events:

  • July 6th is National Historic Places Day -> come by and enjoy some kids activities, coffee/tea, and an historical selfie photo booth. All included with regular admission.

  • July 10th we'll have a very special downtown walking tour by Rosslander Edward Davies at 7pm - please RSVP with us just in case the weather doesn't cooperate!

  • July 18th is our first Night at the Museum event with special activities and guests in the evening. More details to come.

We have recently refurbished the replica Rossland Train Station and CPR Caboose and completed a Rossland Vices permanent exhibit on crime, brewing, and the ladies of the night both thanks to the Columbia Kootenay Cultural Alliance - Columbia Basin Trust and the Rossland Rotary Club! We also have a whole new set of outdoor interpretive signage to be installed next week! We've also just completed a massive, colourful Public Art Installation with Art for People and Moustache Metalworks on the outside of the museum - also courtesy of Columbia Basin Trust

Annual Memberships include an annual pass to the museum as well as being a member of the Association of Science-Technology Centers, giving our members access to hundreds of other science and technology centres and museums around the world. Check out their website for the full list of institutions.
