Arts & Culture Festival 2026

Running since 2020, our Annual Arts & Culture Festival is an opportunity for our region’s local visual and performing artists to showcase their talents to the public as we celebrate the spectacular culture in our area with live music, artist demos, artisan booths, and more. Entry is free, but donations are always appreciated!

We’re thrilled to be taking part in another Rossland Golden City Days weekend of festivities! Downtown, look for our float in the parade and check out our booth at the Fall Fair!
Here at the museum, we'll join the celebrations with special open-by-donation days from 10 AM to 5 PM Saturday and Sunday, September 12-13th, featuring special crafts, games, scavenger hunts, and gold panning. We'll have guided outdoor tours at 11 AM, 1 PM, and 3 PM so you can learn all about our town's golden past... and some of the not-so-shiny bits, too!

Did you know the Museum is a designated site of the national historic event: the Kootenay Mining Region? We'll be open by donation 10 am to 6 pm this weekend, July 18-19, to celebrate Historic Places Days.
Our Ask-A-Geologist program is back!
Stop by the Museum on select Saturdays from 1 pm -3 pm this summer and pick the brain of one of our Friends of the Roger Terhune Geology Club geologists!
Thanks to funding from the Trail & District Arts Council, we have begun rehousing our large textile collection!
