J.D. McDonald Hall - Heritage Exhibit

The J.D. McDonald Hall is a large exhibit space, and it will be divided into two main exhibit areas - the Heritage exhibit and the Lifestyle exhibit - with additional exhibits around the perimeter. The iconic Father Pat Memorial Ambulance will be the first artifact that visitors see when they enter the Hall from the Mine Experience. The updated exhibit will provide space for permanent displays as well as opportunities for rotating displays and changing artifacts in and out as needed.

Bridging the Heritage exhibit and the Lifestyle exhibit is the Sinixt exhibit. Its placement allows us to tie in themes from the past on the Heritage side, and of today from the Lifestyle side, and explain how the Sinixt story is woven through Rossland’s history, as the First People who lived - and continue to live - in this region.
