Smelter Wars by Ron Verzuh

At a Museum Speaker Series event last spring, Ron Verzuh discussed his most recent book, Smelter Wars, which recounts the historic struggle to establish the Local 480 union in Trail. We filmed the event, which included a presentation, Q&A discussion, and showing of one of Ron's short films - and now you can watch that footage!

Thanks so much to Ron Verzuh for sharing with us!

Smelter Wars: A Rebellious Red Trade Union Fights for Its Life in Wartime Western Canada is part of the University of Toronto Press's Canadian Social History Series. We have copies of the book in our gift shop - signed by author Ron Verzuh! Drop by the Museum to buy one - or get in touch with Fiona at admin@rosslandmuseum.ca to order a copy!
