This year’s Culture Days weekend has expanded to a month-long celebration of Arts & Culture!
We are celebrating with a:
Rossland Museum Outdoor Artisan Market
Join us on September 24 & 25 as we kick off the national Culture Days celebrations with our annual Outdoor Artisan Market! From 12 to 4 pm all weekend. Wander about the museum property to check out Kootenay artisans and vendors and celebrate the beauty and creativity fostered in this region. This is a licensed event thanks to the Flying Steamshovel, and we'll have live music supported by the Rossland Art Centre Society, so it's going to be a fun weekend! Admission is free, but donations are always appreciated! This event is supported in part by Columbia Power and the Columbia Basin Trust.

Mixed media artist Kimberley Cutler, (@Artbykimboho), was born in 1996 and grew up in a rural area outside of Nelson, British Columbia, surrounded by nature. At a young age, Kimberley was drawn to the beauty of the natural landscapes and has continued to show this appreciation for nature in her artwork. In April of 2019, she picked up a paint brush for the first time in 6 years, and has been creating ripples in the Kootenays ever since. Kimberley's work holds intricate details that could easily hold your gaze for hours, while reminding you to slow down and enjoy the beautiful details in life. Looking through her work, you'll find mystical mindscapes, enchanted forests and whimsical valleys. These captivating, dazzling, and dreamy landscapes that she creates are overflowing with emotion and fantasies that will leave you with a sense of wonder. The texture and metallics in Kimberley’s Mindscapes are unlike any combination you've seen before, and are only truly experienced with your own eyes. Kimberley has created functional art, by incorporating a wide variety of media including high quality prints, insulated thermoses & water bottles, handmade earrings, sweaters & t-shirts, reusable tote bags, laser-cut wooden wall art, vinyl and many more.

Brilliant Elements
Brilliant Elements is a home-based laser crafting business located in Trail, British Columbia owned by Tisha (the Brilliant One) and Grant (the Crafty One). In 2019 we started creating wooden, laser-cut, layered wall art, home décor and gifts. Never before seen in our area, we've made this type of art our specialty! Grant spends his time with the designs and machine, while Tisha creates the colour magic, and then we lovingly assemble them together.
