We'll discuss why bats are facing threats and how we can help protect them during a fascinating evening in the mysterious world of bats!

Speaker Bio:

Elodie Kuhnert is a biologist who began working with bats in 2009 during her studies at the University of Lausanne in Switzerland. She wrote her master's thesis about roost selection in forest-dwelling bats, and has been hooked on bats ever since. For five years following her studies, Elodie was an active member of the Swiss Bat Association (CCO) and took part in local action with nature-related events, village prospection, and night captures. Since 2018, she has been coordinating the Kootenay Community Bat Project and supporting Kootenay landowners with bats.
