Camp Black Bear

5 Day Week-Long Camps    $200 ($180 for Members)
4-Day Week-Long Camps    $160.00 ($144 for Members)

The Rossland Museum & Discovery Centre has organized 10 jam-packed weeks of Camp Black Bear!  These camps provide access to the best of local recreation and culture in addition to fun and educational activities on the Museum grounds and experienced programmers and coordinators are on hand to make sure the kids have an unforgettable summer!

Space Explorers - 4-day Camps: June 29-30 + July 2-3 and August 4-7
Prepare to embark on the greatest adventure in a galaxy long ago and far away! Train like the greatest space explorers. Join forces with your fellow campers!

Wild at Art July 6-10 and August 10-14
Creativity runs wild all summer long in the Kootenays! We'll be painting, drawing, building, acting, dancing, and exploring!

Mad Scientists July 13-17 and August 24-28
Become junior scientists this summer and embark on a series of science adventures through experiments, games, physical activity, and tonnes of fun!

Where the Wild Things Are July 20-24 and August 17-21
Learn pioneer & survival skills, plant identification, and practical knowledge of the great outdoors!

Bike Skills & Engineering July 27-31 and August 31-Sept 4
Learn about technical biking skills, fun STEAM activities, and taking care of the trails you love riding on! Mountain biking is a life style!

Who: 5 to 11 - Kids must be turning six by December 2020 and have been in Kindergarten

Cost: $200 5-day; $160 4-day (10% discount for members)

Times: 9am-4pm (8:30-9 drop off; 4-4:30 pick-up)

Maximum of 20 kids; Partial weeks may be possible, but priority is given to full-week registration.

Must bring two snacks, a lunch (no peanuts), water bottle, sun protection, outdoor clothing, and backpack; special equipment required for some weeks (e.g. Bike Skills, Hikes), but if this is of any concern, let us know!

**Our camp leaders and staff at the Rossland Museum are working diligently to prepare a safe and fun time for our campers and visitors alike. We must limit overall numbers at the museum as well as with our community partners/facilities and strictly adhere to these maximums in order to ensure social distancing is maintained all summer. The camps will also feature many outdoor activities and split into smaller groups whenever possible.
