2025 Spring Workshop Series

We’ve got a terrific slate of workshop series coming up this spring! From block printing to comic drawing for youth and adults, and even a geology workshop, you won’t want to miss out on these 2025 spring programs.

May Speaker Series with Cindy Devine: Cultivating a Champion

6 pm Thursday, May 22nd

Get ready for an evening of epic stories, serious inspiration, and a whole lot of trail talk! We’re stoked to welcome Cindy Devine—world champion downhill mountain biker and absolute legend—for a ride through her incredible career.

11 am to 4 pm Tuesday, July 1st

Mark your calendars for our annual July 1 celebration at the Rossland Museum with games, food, bouncy castle, licensed beer garden, live music, and more. If you’re interested in taking part in the event as a volunteer, vendor, or community group, please get in touch!

This event is supported in part by Tourism Rossland and the Government of Canada.

The incredible Rotary Club of Rossland is once again spearheading a volunteer work bee at the Museum! Join us from 4-6 pm on Monday, May 12th to help us prepare our property and Upper Level exhibits for the summer season. The list this year includes regular yardwork and maintenance tasks, as well as some upper level development projects and preparation for our Renewal Project (scheduled to break ground later this year). Collection Highlights

A2018.023.315 - Miners' Union Hall during 1978-1983 Renos

Captured in 1979 while the Miners' Union Hall was covered in scaffolding
Restoration was undertaken by Eileen Fletcher and the Rossland Heritage Society from 1978 - 1983
The provincial and federal governments contributed a combined total of $590,000 ($1.13 million today) for the restoration, on top of donations from the community and local businesses and organizations
All of Eileen’s files were donated to the Museum to preserve this monumental undertaking

2025.2.1 - Winter Carnival Hockey Trophy

Dates to 1901
Inscribed with: "Championship Hockey British Columbia - presented by the Citizens of Rossland"
When we accepted this donation, we didn't know exactly what competition the trophy was for — we were just excited for anything hockey-related! We were thrilled when it turned out to be from an early Rossland Winter Carnival.
This is one of the few Winter Carnival trophies that doesn't explicitly say “Rossland Winter Carnival”
