2026 Halloween at the Rossland Museum

Join us Saturday, October 31st from 12–4 PM for a fang-tastic, family-friendly Halloween bash you won’t want to miss! All ages welcome - admission is by donation all day. We’re stocked with treats, festive crafts, and loads of fun — all we need is YOU!

Genealogy Club

The Genealogy Club meets on the last Tuesday of the month and is open to everyone! The next gathering is 1-3 pm on Tuesday, October 27.

Take a step behind the scenes and see what Brenna Campbell, one of our Collections Assistants, has been up to during her time with us this summer!

Rosslanders, we need your help! This house looks so familiar, but for the life of us we just can’t figure out the address. Does anyone recognize it?

Collection Highlights

Frankenstein Poster

Dates to 1931 and was displayed at the Capitol Theatre in Rossland
The Capitol Theatre opened on August 20, 1930
Theatre was located on Washington Street (parking lot beside the current Thrift Store)
Theatre closed in 1959 and collapsed under snow load in 1974

Miners’ Union Hall Renos

Miners’ Union Hall underwent massive renovations and restoration from 1978-1984
Led by architect Eileen Fletcher on behalf of the specially formed Rossland Heritage Society (1978-1984)
Officially reopened on 6 August 1983
