This year the City of Rossland and the Rossland Museum have joined together to bring 9 jam-packed weeks of Camp Black Bear! Prices include a weekly visit to the pool (for non-swim camp weeks) and pizza Fridays!

Week 1: AMAZING RACE THROUGH TIME: July 4-7 / $160/wk
Spend the morning at the pool in our fun Pirate Camp, travelling the pool in search of buried treasure, swim the length for the lost bottle, scurry on the deck. Make a ship that hopefully, floats. In the afternoon four teams will race through different ages and complete challenges, starting in the Ice Age and ending in the future!
Week 2: ART EXPLORERS: July 9 – 13 / $200 / wk
Join Shelley Painter for a moring of all ages art exploration. In the afternoon kids (ages 6-9 yrs) will travel around the world and explore different cultures through their amazig art in the arternoon. Youth aged (9 – 12yrs) will story board a short animation, design their backgrounds and model their characters! Campers must bring their own digital camers.
Week 3: CAMP ROSS-WORTS: July 16-20 / $200 / wk
Spend your morning having fun with games, yoga, gymnastics, skateboarding and parkour combined to provide all abilities and interests with a safe place to learn body awareness and have a ton of fun. In the afternoons take off this Harry Potter inspired camp filled with potion mixing, quill writing and quidditch.
Week 4: STONES AND BONES: July 23 – 27/ $200 / $200 / wk
Kids will spend their morning having fun with games, yoga, gymnastics, skateboarding and parkour combined to provide all abilities and interests with a safe place to learn body awareness and have a ton of fun. Week 5: KABOOM!! MAD SCIENTIST: July 30 – Aug 3 / $200 / wk
Spend the morning in an aquatic Science camp where you will be give the opportunity to expand swimming skills in the skill builder Swim @ Camp program and participate in scientific experiments. In the afternoon, campers will explore a different theme of science each day packed with amazing experiments!
Week 6 ECO SURVIVOR GAMES: Aug 7 – 10 Four days of callenges! $160 / wk
Spend the morning in our Aquatic Art Camp. Along with advancing swimming skills with the skill builder Swim @ Camp lessons. The Children will get the opportunity to explore their creativity and imagination through various arts and crafts. In the afternoon Kids will be divided into 2 camps to compete in teambuilding eco challenges, games, crafts and fun
Week 7: CIRCUS CAMP and BOOM TOWN MYSTERY Aug 13 – 17 $200 Ages 6-7 / $290 Ages 8 – 12
Looking to join the circus? Join this French / English Camp to learn some circus skills. In the afternoons, kids will lean how to be detectives in the midst of a mystery, collecting clues and solving an epic mystery!
Week 8: DRAWN INTO NATURE Aug 20-24 / $200 / wk
Spend your morning with Shelley Painter exploring your art skills and In the afternoon kids will be hiking, sketching and painting mountains, flowers, lakes and pastoral scenes!
Week 9: UBC GEERING UP EXPLORERS CAMP (7-11yrs) $200 / 4 day / EUREKA – Rossland Museum Camp (6yrs only) $160 / 4 day Aug 27-30
Geering Up UBC Engineering and Science for Kids is excited to be coming to Rossland offering a week long, STEM summer camp. Our programming involves a dynamic mix of hands-on activities, demonstrations, and design challenges. Our camps are taught by experienced university students with a passion for their field of study. In addition to all of this we ensure each camper spends at least one hour of each day participating in active games outside.
