This week is BC Museums Week!! We have a jam-packed week ahead of us. Our Spring Hours begin today – we are now open Tuesdays to Sundays – 10am to 5pm. To celebrate BC Museums Week, entry is by donation all week!
Find out all about our activities and events this week in more detail by checking out our event.
Today, we’ll be bringing out a recent donation of a petroform found in a Rosslander’s yard. We are also showcasing a reactive artwork piece about Chinese history of the area presented to the museum by Mr. Starzner’s RSS class. Tonight, we are hosting the community event WildSafe BC – Wildlife Safety & Awareness.
On Wednesday, the Museum Kids’ Club will be creating their very own museum display. Thursday’s Drawn to Nature group will be learning about and creating art about the robin who has built its nest by the museum entrance using some lessons from the Robert Bateman Centre.
Finally, on Saturday, we’ll be showcasing some pieces and information from our upcoming permanent exhibit on the brewing, red light district, and crime history of Rossland – help us decide on an exhibit name!
